Some Tech Trivia

Let me first give an intro for the new generations of Delhi computer symposium students, those of you who are in Delhi schools and goto competitions like Exun, Force Fest, Code Wars, Modem, Access,Silico Battles etc. I also used to go to such competitions and used to win most of the times and used to win BIG. Anyway here is some tech trivia compiled by me to fiddle around with, feel free to report any errors or appreciate it. The level is extremely simple considering the people who visit my blog may be complete novices. Call it tech trivia, tech quiz , computer quiz , or whatever !


1 . This company was started out of a car garage, to decide the name a coin toss was used , the final name of the company was the opposite of what you would expect judging from who won the toss , Name the company .

HP , Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard tossed a coin to decide whether the company they founded would be called Hewlett-Packard or Packard-Hewlett. , Guess what Dave won.

2. He died in a car accident, but the thing is this jeep in which he died had been was designed using his own supercomputer. , Name this man.

Seymour Cray (Father of Supercomputers) , died in a Jeep Cherokee which was designed using a Cray supercomputer.

3. Which OS do you expect to find in a Series 60 Mobile Phone?

Symbian OS

4. This computer was designed by engineer Tommy Flowers at the Post Office Research Station, Dollis Hill, and was used by British codebreakers to read encrypted German messages during World War II . Name it.
